Who we are
Smyth Support was founded by Jacob Smyth, a passionate community care professional based in Central Victoria. After years of experience in leadership and customer service, Jacob saw the need for a more personal, genuine, and flexible approach to aged and disability support.
Smyth Support was created to do just that — to bring care, connection, and compassion back to the heart of local support services.

Founder & Community Support Worker
Jacob Smyth
Jacob leads Smyth Support with compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to community.
After more than a decade in management and customer service, Jacob saw firsthand the difference genuine connection makes in people’s lives. Too often, care felt rushed and impersonal — focused on tasks rather than people. Determined to change that, he founded Smyth Support to deliver a service built on empathy, respect, and reliability.
Based in Central Victoria, Jacob combines his leadership experience with hands-on support work to bring a personal, dependable approach to aged and disability care. He believes true support is about more than assistance — it’s about helping people feel valued, understood, and empowered to live life their way.
“I started Smyth Support to make a real difference — to offer care that feels personal, not clinical. Every visit, every conversation, every small act of kindness matters. This isn’t just my work — it’s my purpose.”
Today, Jacob continues to build strong, trusted relationships with clients and families, guided by the same values that started it all: compassion, integrity, and community.

Co-Founder & Registered Nurse
Courtenay Smyth
Courtenay brings compassion, clinical expertise, and a deep sense of purpose to her role at Smyth Support.
A Registered Nurse currently completing her Master’s degree, Courtenay has worked across a wide range of care environments — including aged care, mental health, and high-care behavioural support. This diverse experience gives her a deep understanding of how to deliver calm, person-centred care in even the most complex situations.
Her calm presence, empathy, and clinical insight ensure every client receives the highest quality of support — care that is safe, professional, and grounded in dignity and respect.
Courtenay believes that true wellbeing comes from understanding the whole person — their story, their goals, and what helps them feel secure and valued.
“For me, nursing is about more than clinical care — it’s about connection, trust, and helping people feel seen and supported. That’s what Smyth Support is all about.”
As Co-Founder, Courtenay works closely with Jacob to uphold Smyth Support’s values of compassion, reliability, and community — ensuring every service meets the highest standards of quality and heart.
